National Account Manger- Employer Engagement

Amgen seeks a National Account Manager to lead strategic engagement with large self-insured employers and associated organizations that influence health-benefit decisions. This role combines account leadership with market-access expertise to advance obesity and other therapeutic-area coverage, benefit design, and patient access.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute strategic account plans for a portfolio of priority jumbo employers, defining objectives, barriers, and measures
• Build senior-level relationships with employer benefits, finance, pharmacy leaders and ecosystem partners including consultants and PBMs
• Lead consultative discussions on obesity benefit design, access, affordability, and population-health outcomes within approved compliance models
• Translate clinical and real-world evidence into customer-relevant value discussions; identify evidence gaps for internal strategy partners
• Develop scalable employer-facing tools, content, and market insights; monitor competitive and policy trends

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years relevant experience, or Master's with 4+ years, or Bachelor's with 6+ years, or equivalent
• 3+ years customer-facing strategic account management in market access, payer, employer benefits, consulting, PBM, or healthcare
• Ability to travel domestically up to 60 percent, including overnight stays
• Direct experience with self-insured jumbo employers, benefit consultants, TPAs, PBMs, or carriers
• Knowledge of employer-sponsored benefits, pharmacy/medical benefit management, managed care, and contracting
• Ability to influence access, coverage, and benefit-design decisions in complex healthcare environments
