Job Summary and Qualifications We are looking for seasoned and ambitious OR Float Pool Registered Nurse to help us reach our goals. Position Details: The RN OR Float provides patient care utilizing the nursing process – assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment – for identified patient population per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act. The RN OR Float documents patient care administered. The RN OR Float promotes interdisciplinary communication and care. The delivery of care is based on the age, physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The RN OR Float demonstrates basic and unit specific competencies. The RN OR Float supervises contract and employee MST, CST, ST. The RN OR Float performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Sky Ridge Medical Center (SRMC). The RN OR Float supports and follows SRMC policy and procedures. The RN OR Float displays positive support for the values and mission of SRMC. The RN OR Float may function in the role of preceptor with completion of a SRMC Preceptor Course. The RN OR Float required to float to in the surgical services area (PreOp, Endo, PACU, and OR). Position requires call. What qualifications you will need: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. One (1) year minimum experience in the perioperative (OR) setting is required. ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire. CNOR preferred.
