Ironclad & Co. is a national HR Partner seeking skilled and reliable Deck Installers for immediate placement in skilled trades. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in carpentry , construction , framing , outdoor installations , or general labor . You will work on residential and commercial properties, installing, repairing, and finishing decks made from wood, composite, and specialty materials.

This is hands‐on, outdoor work requiring craftsmanship, precision, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Deck Construction — build, assemble, and install wood and composite decks according to project specifications

• Framing & Structural Work — measure, cut, and install joists, beams, posts, and supports

• Surface Installation — lay decking boards, secure fasteners, ensure proper spacing and alignment

• Stair & Railing Installation — install stairs, handrails, guardrails, and safety features

• Repairs & Renovations — replace damaged boards, reinforce structures, and restore aging decks

• Tool & Equipment Operation — saws, drills, impact drivers, levels, post‐hole diggers, and carpentry tools

• Site Preparation — clearing work areas, marking layouts, digging post holes, and leveling ground

• Material Handling — lifting 50+ lbs, transporting lumber, composite materials, and hardware

• Safety Compliance — follow PPE requirements, job‐site protocols, and safe tool operation

• General Labor Support — assist with cleanup, loading/unloading, and project logistics

Transferable Skills & Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas excel in this role:

• Carpentry — measuring, cutting, framing, finishing

• Construction Labor — material handling, tool use, outdoor work

• Landscaping — site prep, physical stamina, equipment handling

• Concrete & Masonry — post setting, leveling, structural support

• General Maintenance — problem‐solving, repairs, reliability

Required Qualifications

• Experience in deck installation, carpentry, construction, or similar trades

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in heat and humidity

• Reliable transportation to job sites

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composite decking (Trex, TimberTech, etc.)

• Familiarity with framing codes and structural requirements

• Ability to read basic plans, blueprints, or measurements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Valid driver’s license

Schedule & Availability

• Monday–Friday

• Occasional weekends depending on project needs

• Overtime available
