Learn More About ProSidian Consulting at DescriptionProSidian Seeks a Legal Policy Analyst (Contract Contingent) in Charlotte, NC / Washington, DC / Remote to support an engagement for agency of the United States government responsible for consumer protection in the financial sector.The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to understand and improve consumer financial decision-making skills by researching consumer financial behavior, knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, and experiences, developing innovative approaches to help consumers make better-informed financial decisions, and analyze and study the effectiveness of financial education approaches.Legal Policy Analyst Candidates shall work to support requirements for PR0001 Program Support and conduct research on consumer behavior, knowledge, attitudes, and experiences in order to better understand consumer financial decision-making. The Legal Policy Analyst will provide in-depth, academic-quality research of consumer financial behavior that will greatly impact the the performance and quality of financial education.The Legal Policy Analyst is responsible for coordinating with stakeholders and researching relevant issues related to financial education, behavior, and literacy, providing in-depth research of consumer financial behavior by reviewing past methods, strategies, tools, and other interventions designed for financial education, abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically, prodiving research and analysis accurately and within a timely manner. The Legal Policy Analyst may also be responsible for assisting other members of the Research Team in evaluation of field testing, report writing, and other tasks required by the Government.QualificationsThe Legal Policy Analyst shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with at least 3 years of experience with demonstrated understanding of research, report writing, policy analysis, or any other relevant experience.Bachelor's degree required; J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school strongly preferred.At least 3 years of experience providing academic quality research, research analysis, research and analysis report writing, and/or legal analysis.Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically.Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team.Candidate must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to propose possible resolutions to complex managerial or operational problems.Demonstrated expertise in knowledge management and strong critical thinking skills.Demonstrated proactivity, attention to detail, working within deadlines, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal skills, English verbal, written, editing, research, and verbal communication skills.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
