Maintenance Mechanic

Job TitleJob DescriptionHelpPerform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks relating to the general operation and maintenance of physical plant facilities, project grounds parks, wildlife areas and other public use facilities.Install, modify and repair water supply systems, waterborne toilets, sewage systems, drinking fountains, hydrants, automated underground irrigation systems.Construct wooden forms for concrete, measures, cuts and constructs general carpentry.Operate a variety of project vehicles such as trucks, vans, dump trucks, semi-trucks, etc. to haul materials to the site and perform maintenance activities.Operate small craft and single or twin screw diesel boats up to 26 feet to make repairs to docks, floats and other facilities on the rivers or streams, transport materials and personnel, and accomplish other work.Perform general inspection, repair, and maintenance work utilizing various hand and power tools and small equipment as needed.Perform minor electrical maintenance and repairs.Perform minor maintenance and repair to motors, engines, belts, hoses, carburetors, linkage, batteries, ignition systems, and other parts of equipment to assure in working order or repair on-site as needed.
