About the Role

Total Warehouse Solutions (TWS LLC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead our warehouse receiving and inbound distribution operations in Franklin, MA.

This hands-on leadership position is responsible for overseeing inbound freight, receiving operations, labor management, payroll processing, inventory accuracy, customer communication, and overall warehouse performance. The ideal candidate will have warehouse leadership experience, strong operational knowledge, and a passion for building productive, safe, and efficient teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Inbound Operations

• Oversee all driver check-ins and inbound freight activities.
• Enter operational data into company systems and warehouse management software.
• Coordinate daily unloading and labor assignments.
• Supervise container and trailer unloading operations.
• Ensure freight is sorted, segregated, palletized, and stored properly.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, receiving documentation, and reporting.
• Inspect inbound products for damage and verify code-date compliance.
• Complete daily production and operational reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, site management, and corporate leadership.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates and unloading crews.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching as needed.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, employee development, and retention efforts.
• Plan labor and staffing levels based on operational volume.
• Ensure associates follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain attendance, training, and safety records.
• Conduct safety training and enforce OSHA compliance standards.
• Allocate labor and equipment efficiently to meet customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and service levels.
• Attend customer meetings and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• Experience managing warehouse associates, contract labor, or third-party labor providers.
• Working knowledge of receiving operations, dock management, freight handling, inventory control, and warehouse productivity metrics.
• Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Ragic, or similar software.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized with exceptional time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Schedule

• 5-6 days per week based on operational needs.
• Early start times, beginning as early as 4:00 AM.
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

$65,000 - $70,000 annually (Based on Experience)
