MTS Systems Design Engineer

Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring an MTS Systems Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Design complete and complex frameworks, systems, and products. Define technical platform processes, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence future product architecture across multiple products or systems. Provide multi‑layered technical expertise for next‑generation initiatives. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high‑level designs to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products. Qualifications: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in a closely related engineering role, or a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience. Three (3) years of experience in the following areas: Architecting, designing, and implementing FPGA‑based digital systems and circuits; Logic and circuit design; RTL design and coding; Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL; Functional verification; Unix or Linux environments; C, C++, or Python.
