Medical DosimetristThis Medical Dosimetrist carries out the routine dose calculations and measurements for Radiotherapy patients under the direction of the Medical Physicist, Radiation Oncologists, and the department manager. Confirms that treatments coincide with the treatment plan. Responsible for fabricating treatment aids. Other responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate. Enforces hospital rules and regulations. His/her experience in procedures should be such that he/she requires minimal direct supervision by the department manager or physics staff.Minimum RequirementsEducation• Associates Degree RT (T)Experience• 3 years' experience as a Radiation TherapistLicense/Registration/Certifications• RT (T)Continuing Education as required by the ARRTContinuing Education as required by the MDCBMember AAMDPreferred RequirementsPreferred Education• CMD, BS in a Physical SciencePreferred Experience• 1 year of Treatment planning experiencePreferred License/Registration/Certifications• CMD, BS in a Physical Science.
