About the Role

COMPANY is seeking a Civil Associate Engineering Technician to support utility-scale renewable energy projects across the solar and wind sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams on large infrastructure projects that help meet today's and tomorrow's energy demands.

The Civil Associate Engineering Technician will support the planning, design, and development of site infrastructure, including grading and drainage systems, erosion control measures, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers, you will contribute to high-quality project deliverables using industry-leading design tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, PVcase, and PVFarm .

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams on renewable energy and civil infrastructure projects
• Create, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation
• Perform technical design tasks using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling software
• Prepare site plans, grading designs, utility layouts, and related project deliverables
• Perform basic calculations, dimensional checks, and material quantity estimates
• Coordinate design deliverables with cross-functional project teams
• Ensure work complies with applicable standards, quality procedures, and project requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
• Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and engineering methods
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineering technicians as experience develops

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering, drafting, or design experience
• Experience working with CAD or engineering design software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, which may include:
  • Background check
  • Drug screening
  • Motor vehicle records review (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or a related field
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, PVcase, and/or PVFarm
• Previous experience supporting civil site development, utility, solar, or renewable energy projects
