CT Technologist

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Radiology is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Munster, Indiana. Start date: July 27, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 8‑hour night shifts, 40 hours per week. Location: Facility in Munster, Indiana. Employment Type: Travel. Key Responsibilities Summary: The CT Tech operates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with safety and image accuracy considerations, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high‑quality images. Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high‑quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist. Valid radiology license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Current ARRT certification. Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration to detail. Sensory Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
