Job Description

Our company, located in Erlanger, KY, is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team.  We are an e-commerce company offering high quality home products to consumers. We offer 7 paid holidays per year, PTO, and competitive medical benefits.

JOB SCOPE

The successful candidate will focus on all aspects of customer satisfaction. Responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and companies. Assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancelations, and other queries.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media.
• Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information.
• Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.
• Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.
• Advise on company information.
• Place or cancel orders.
• Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale.
• Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions.
• Attempt to persuade customer to reconsider cancellation.
• Inform customer of deals and promotions.
• Sell products and services.
• Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.
• Receive all parcel and freight returns.
• File claims with parcel and freight carriers for damaged goods

MISC

·       Work under minimal supervision. 

·       Meet regularly with the management team to identify or ascertain problems or challenges.

·       Efficiently contribute in reaching department’s objectives and company goals through the use of established processes and procedures.

·       Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. 

·       Strategic planning/thinking skills, coupled with analytical and execution skills.

·       Out-of-the-box thinker, decisive; experienced in and capable of leading change.

·       Good trouble shooting skills.

·       Good organizational and administrative skills. Detail oriented.

·       Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

·       Excellent team player.

·       Perform other duties as necessary.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

·       2 + years experience in customer service 

·       Extensive e-commerce background

·       Background in the kitchen and bath sanitary ware industry a bonus

·       Ability to translate your skills and experience to other employees through training and mentoring

·       Computer skills: Word and Excel

·       Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field or related industrial experience a bonus
