Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physical therapists to implement tailored treatment plans for patients in an outpatient brain injury setting
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to achieve goals
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
- Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Maine or compact eligibility
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Previous outpatient or brain injury experience preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs
- Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
