Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a low-volume rehabilitation and LTACH/ICU facility.

Details

• 10-bed LTACH/ICU and 46-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility with 56 total staffed beds
• Low volume setting covering CT and X-ray services
• CT equipment includes a GE 16-slice scanner; X-ray coverage with Siemens portable and GE C-arm for MBS studies
• Experience with older GE and Siemens CT scanners, as well as Siemens, Fuji, and GE X-ray/C-arm equipment preferred
• Adult acute care patient population
• 4x10 hour day shifts, primarily Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 2-3 nights of call per week and weekend coverage required
• Expected to float to a sister facility approximately 3 miles away to help cover staffing needs
• Open to block scheduling arrangements
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience required
• BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis CT with and without contrast, chest CT, head/neck CT, and spine/musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA preferred
• Proficiency with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved on an individual basis upon offer
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Scrubs of any color are accepted
• Parking is free
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
