Job Description Lead Low Voltage Technician – Lead Regional Access Control and Camera Installations \n \n Job Overview \n \n Company: Tetra \n Salary/Pay Rate: $28 to $35 per hour (based on experience) \n Location: North Richland Hills, Texas (Hybrid / 30% Travel Required within local area) \n Job/Employment Type: Full Time \n Project Scope: Installation, service, and commissioning of multifamily and commercial access control and IP video surveillance deployments \n Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Texas Security License, Valid Driver's License \n \n \n The Opportunity \n You will serve as the premier on-site technical leader driving the deployment of advanced security and networking infrastructure across the region. This role gives you the autonomy to guide small field crews while directly shaping the quality standards of a rapidly scaling company. You will have a direct pathway to advance into higher operational leadership positions as our market share expands. \n \n How You Will Make an Impact \n \n Lead the physical installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of access control and IP-based camera systems. \n Supervise and coordinate the daily field activities of two to three installation technicians on active project sites. \n Keep detailed documentation regarding customer contact and progress on various projects. \n Interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, project specifications, and construction documents to guide team execution. \n Train, mentor, and develop less experienced field technicians through hands-on coaching and technical knowledge sharing. \n Troubleshoot intricate system infrastructure issues involving hardware, software, networking components, and field devices. \n Coordinate directly with project managers, customers, and other on-site trades to ensure seamless project execution. \n \n \n Required Qualifications & Experience \n \n Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in low-voltage systems installation and service. \n Extensive technical experience with access control systems and IP-based video surveillance networks. \n Strong understanding of structured cabling, low-voltage wiring practices, and networking fundamentals. \n Proven ability to lead, manage, and coordinate small field installation teams. \n \n \n Preferred Qualifications & Experience \n \n High School Diploma or GED. \n Texas Fire License. \n Manufacturer certifications in access control, video surveillance, networking, or audio/video systems. \n Dedicated experience working within multifamily and commercial project environments. \n OSHA certification or equivalent industry safety training. \n \n \n Compensation & Benefits \n \n Bi-Weekly Pay Cycle, Overtime Potential, Referral Bonus Program, and 401(k) with employer matching. \n Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, and Life and Disability Insurance Options. \n Gym Memberships and all required Safety Equipment Provided. \n Paid Time Off including Holidays, Vacation, and Sick leave plus Paid Parental Leave. \n Travel Projects with per diem, Company Vehicle, and Uniforms Provided. \n Training and Certifications including Manufacturer training, OSHA, Fall Protection, and Lifts. \n Tech Package with a smartphone or tablet provided and a Personal Tool Replacement Program. \n Company Events and Annual Trips or Company Outings. \n \n \n About Us \n Tetra is a rapidly growing company specializing in multifamily access control systems and camera installations.
