TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29406!

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ICU setting License: RN License in the applicable state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients. Comfort in managing patients on ventilators. Proficiency in reading telemetry strips. Prior CVICU experience. Experience with advanced skills such as CRRT and advanced hemodynamics. Description: Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expectation to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation. The ICU has 28 beds with patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:3. Staffing includes RNs and the use of mobile phones and computer workstations. Documentation is completed via Meditech. Scheduling includes 3 - 12 hour shifts per week. Travelers may be floated to emergency departments or PCU as needed. Bedside shift report is utilized for patient handoffs. Candidates should have experience with post-operative CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, and advanced hemodynamics. Experience with neuro procedures, including EVDs and induced hypothermia, is preferred. A BSN is preferred, as well as additional advanced certifications. Nurses administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU. This facility emphasizes supportive management and teamwork.
