Cook Position At Hilton Garden Inn Austin DowntownHilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown is seeking a dependable, motivated, and skilled Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing quality meals, providing exceptional guest experiences, and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.Assist with inventory management, food storage, and stock rotation.Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Work collaboratively with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure timely and efficient service.Accommodate guest dietary restrictions and special requests following established procedures.Properly operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment.Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily kitchen duties.At Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown, we value teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality. We offer a supportive work environment where team members can develop their skills and grow professionally.Join our team and help us create memorable dining experiences for our guests!Qualifications & Requirements:Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar food service environment.Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.Ability to prepare meals according to established recipes and quality standards.Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining professional standards.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.Culinary certification or relevant culinary training preferred but not required.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with working in a commercial kitchen.Ability to follow company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.Preferred Qualifications:Previous hotel kitchen experience.Experience preparing breakfast and dinner menu items.Familiarity with food inventory procedures and proper stock rotation.Experience accommodating special dietary requests and food allergies.
