Production Supervisor

Our company is currently searching a member to join our Production team as a Production Supervisor who will work to provide support across our plant. This position will work within a team of other production staff and will be based in our Dixon, IL office. This role will require candidates to be able to work 12-hour shifts. Selected supervisor will begin on an 8-hour schedule for training and support, but will then move into our 12-hour shift model. Key Role And Responsibilities Ensure all production lines are operating at proper speeds and proper output levels while adhering to company's established quality policies and productivity standards. Ensure strict compliance and adherence to all established health, safety, and environmental policies. Work with Production Manager to assign personnel according to qualifications and establish shift schedules to meet production orders. Comprehend production schedules and provide completion estimates based on manpower and equipment availability. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain machine functionality during shift. Perform routine quality control procedures throughout shift, report defects or quality concerns to management. Maintain accuracy of production reporting. Ability to coach and train new hires on all machines and continually develop existing employees on building proficiency. Proper understanding of raw materials and verify correct blend of materials for each product line. Other duties may be assigned at times to meet facility and company needs. Skills High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 years previous manufacturing experience. Ability to work independently and has excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions. Ability to read measuring devices. Ability to supervise and lead team, promote teamwork, and champion company culture. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes. General computer skills including use of manufacturing software. Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.
