For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Build and refine AI-enabled solutions, including agents, copilots, automations, workflows, retrieval experiences, and integrationsWork directly with business subject matter experts to understand workflows, clarify needs, and test whether solutions address the right problemTranslate product requirements and solution designs into working prototypes and production-capable componentsContribute to prompt design, context and retrieval strategies, tool use, orchestration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controlsUse code, low-code platforms, APIs, analytics tools, and enterprise AI technologies as appropriate to the problemPartner with architects, engineers, data scientists, platform teams, and transformation leads to implement reliable and usable solutionsDevelop tests, evaluation cases, documentation, monitoring requirements, and other artifacts needed to support responsible implementationDemonstrate solutions to users and leaders, incorporate feedback quickly, and support workflow adoptionConvert successful work into reusable components, templates, implementation guides, and playbooksContinuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities and apply useful advances to current business problemsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in technology, analytics, automation, data science, software development, product development, consulting, or a related fieldHands-on experience developing AI-enabled, analytics, automation, data, or software solutions using code, low-code platforms, or comparable development toolsExperience translating business or product requirements into working solutions or technical deliverablesExperience collaborating with business and technical partners in a cross-functional environmentExperience testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and improving solutions based on user feedback or performance resultsExperience communicating technical concepts and implementation considerations to technical and non-technical audiencesExperience in healthcare, insurance, finance, analytics, or another regulated environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Product Development, Product Management Lifecycle, and/or AI Development LifecycleExperience with generative AI, large language models, agentic AI, orchestration, copilots, or intelligent automationExperience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, context engineering, tool integration, or AI evaluationExperience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, or comparable AI development frameworksExperience with APIs, cloud services, Databricks, Snowflake, or modern enterprise data platformsExperience with user-centered product development, workflow design, or rapid prototypingFamiliarity with machine learning methods and when to partner with data scientists on predictive solutionsProficiency with Python, JavaScript, SQL, or another programming language*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
