Position Details Division: Academic Affairs Department: Department of Occupational Therapy Title: Assistant/Associate Professor Occupational Therapy Type: Tenure Track Faculty FTE: 1 Recruitment Range: Commensurate with Education and Experience Vacancy #: 3547 FLSA Status: Exempt Months per year: 9 Qualifications Doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a master’s degree in occupational therapy with a related doctoral degree. Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience, including supervision of occupational therapy fieldwork students (part‑time experience may be considered). Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina. Current NBCOT certification. Current AOTA membership. Current North Carolina license to practice occupational therapy (or eligibility). Working knowledge of ACOTE standards and expectations; graduate teaching experience; scholarship portfolio (preferred). Responsibilities Mentor and guide graduate students in their academic and professional development. Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom discussions. Share real‑world experience and expertise through innovative teaching methods. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and delivery. Contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy research and scholarship. Develop courses, teach course content, and evaluate student learning outcomes.
