$100k - $110k
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements. This is a great opportunity for a stable Senior Accountant looking for an opportunity to move up in a relatively short period of time.
Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
Assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Accomplish accounting and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
Calculate monthly accruals.
Help prepare actual-to-budget and forecast variance analysis.
Required Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant
3+ years of experience.
Public accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
CPA preferred, not required.
