Job Title and Location : Medical Laboratory Technician (PRN, Nights 7PM-7AM), Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Sellersburg. Job Overview : The Medical Lab Technician has extensive knowledge of clinical laboratory science and performs high-complexity testing. Responsibilities include maintaining records, generating acceptable test results within QC standards, and performing testing according to standard operating procedures. Job Duties Perform high-complexity laboratory tests. Maintain performance records and apply independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards. Perform testing according to standard operating procedures. Qualifications Minimum of a two-year diploma or equivalent in biological or chemical science from an accredited institution plus completion of a Medical Laboratory Technology training program (Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology). Or minimum of a two-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology including Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology. Certification as an MLT by the ASCP or AMT within 6 months of hire.
