Role Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist provides comprehensive speech-language services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and modify treatment protocols, ensure effective patient care, and participate in program planning and protocol development. Role Overview The Speech-Language Pathologist provides comprehensive speech-language services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and modify treatment protocols, ensure effective patient care, and participate in program planning and protocol development. Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations, review patient history, perform assessments, and communicate findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, monitor patient progress, and adjust plans as needed in consultation with healthcare professionals. Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and accurate documentation of patient care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Manage time effectively to meet productivity goals, demonstrate flexibility and empathy to ensure patient access to care, and participate in professional development and mentoring activities. Qualifications & Skills Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY). Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in relevant jurisdictions (MD, DC, VA).
