Plasma Center Technician

The part‑time roles are designed with the understanding that flexibility on both sides is key. About the role Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a plasma donor screener and phlebotomist to support plasma center operations. Responsibilities Answer phones, greet and focus on donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team. Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results. Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation. Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures. Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift. Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees. Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 32 lbs. (rarely 50 lbs.). Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance. Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90 % of tasks require prolonged glove wear. 1 + year minimum experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful. Compensation & Benefits Summary Location: USA – IA – Ames U.S. Starting Hourly Wage: $16.00 The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
