Plant Operator

Overview Responsible for the operations of stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as chillers, compressors, generators and steam boilers. That equipment is necessary to provide utilities such as lights, heat, ventilation, medical gases and power for refrigeration, air conditioning and other services to the facility. Qualifications Required Education: GED or High School Diploma. Required Skills: Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to inspect equipment or systems and identify conditions requiring correction. Working knowledge of common hand tools, general safety, blueprints, schematic diagrams and ability to interpret instructions. Basic working knowledge of electricity and distribution systems. Ability to perform basic mechanical, carpentry and plumbing repairs. Required Experience: 1-2 years in building maintenance or central plant operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr University of Florida Health
