Today, Meherwan, Molly, and the team are bringing the vibrant, everyday flavors of India, the food of more than a billion people, to adventurous eaters in Asheville, Decatur, and Washington, DC. What Youll Be Doing: The Front of House Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily FOH operations, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining a high standard of guest experience. This role focuses on staffing, guest relations, communication between FOH and BOH, and operational efficiency. The FOH Shift Manager leads a team of FOH staff, and supports the Executive Service Director and FOH Managers in both daily operations and administrative tasks. Oversee and support FOH staff, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency during shifts. Address any staffing issues, resolve customer complaints, and guide staff in providing Mindblasting service. Maintain checklists for opening and closing duties, ensuring all tasks are completed consistently. Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in the FOH area. Take the lead in resolving customer complaints, staff disputes, and other service-related challenges. Ensure that all guests have a positive experience by providing top-tier hospitality. Lead the "Service Ready" initiative to ensure the restaurant is always prepared for service. Ensure that the FOH team is fully equipped, organized, and ready for each shift. Lead by example, modeling best practices for service, attitude, and professionalism. Show Heart Quality! How We Support Each Other: Update with the next shift, providing reports and notes in the manager logbook. Meet weekly with the Executive Service Director, and other FOH Managers to discuss operational issues and create improvements together. Communicate with the GM, Executive Service Director, other managers teams in emergencies or urgent situations. The Path To Success: Positive guest reviews regarding hospitality and service. Great staff feedback on workplace environment, morale, and efficiency. Consistent execution of the "Service Ready" initiative. FOH operations run smoothly with minimal issues and quick resolution when problems arise. Non-Negotiables: Maintain a high standard of service and cleanliness at all times. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Uphold company culture and lead by example. Communicate effectively with both FOH and BOH teams.
