Ally Psychiatry is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team in the Valleydale area of Birmingham.

This is a full-time outpatient PMHNP opportunity offering a Monday Friday schedule, strong physician collaboration, structured clinical support, and excellent work-life balance within a clinician-led psychiatry practice.

Candidates must have a minimum of one year of PMHNP experience practicing in Alabama and an active DEA license at the time of hire.

PMHNP Position Highlights
• Full-time outpatient psychiatry position
• Monday Friday clinic schedule (no inpatient duties)
• Light call rotation approximately one weekend per month
• Established outpatient psychiatry practice in the Birmingham metro
• Collaborative team environment with psychiatrists, therapists, and clinical staff
• Direct supervision and support from experienced psychiatric physicians
• Strong administrative, billing, and scheduling infrastructure

PMHNP Responsibilities
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Provide medication management and ongoing outpatient psychiatric care
• Develop individualized treatment plans for mental health conditions
• Treat a broad range of adult psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Participate in shared weekend call rotation (light coverage)

Qualifications
Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Minimum of 1 year PMHNP experience practicing in Alabama required
Active Alabama APRN license required
Active DEA license required at start date
Strong clinical judgment and medication management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
