Title: Material Handler Company: Global Power Components – Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week) Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire (3+ months) 1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT 2nd Shift: 4pm – 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT Overview: Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Responsibilities: Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects. Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product. Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely. Requirements: 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience as a material handler is preferred Forklift certified preferred Ability to read blueprints to be able to pick appropriate materials Critical thinker who can make decisions and act on them Ability to follow instructions Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team Read, write and speak English fluently High school diploma or GED Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical and drug screen At Global Power Components, our mission is simple: Inov8OrDie Driven by this mindset, GPC has grown from 200 to more than 2,000 employees in just five years, expanding from one manufacturing facility to four locations across the Milwaukee area, including our new 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in West Milwaukee.
