Position: Surgical Tech IV Open Heart PRN Days Assists the surgical team to provide patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of physical and technical requirements of surgical intervention: highly complex surgical cases/specialty resources. Acts as a resource person regarding instrumentation requirements, availability, and setup. Able and willing to troubleshoot. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to scrub more than three specialties proficiently. Willingness to assist circulator and takes initiative to ensure availability of necessary equipment. Expert in chosen specialty area; performs all specialty procedures independently, is identified as a resource person for more than 1 specialty. Acts as preceptor to actively train new staff and participate in the orientation process, offering performance feedback to management. Responsible for maintaining effective communication skills. Participates in monitoring and maintaining resources in specific department. Understands and contributes to the vision/mission and goals of the department. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tenet Healthcare
