CT Technologist

Overview We are seeking a CT Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech or Rad Tech II). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X‑ray machines to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high‑quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Shifts Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS Benefits Competitive compensation Medical insurance benefit plan 401K Responsibilities To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Operate CT scanners and/or X‑ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure. Monitor patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Assist other radiologists, working closely with them who interpret the images produced by the CT exam; you may also assist in administering contrast agents or performing certain procedures. Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X‑ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images. Maintain radiologic supplies, ensuring equipment is in good operating order and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene. Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal‑breakers. You must have: Licensure as required by State Effective July1,2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required Current BCLS (AHA) Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiar with State and Federal regulations Proficient computer skills Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred Employment Status Per Diem Shift Variable Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
