Fitness Manager

San Antonio: I-35/Walzem Rd (Windsor Park) Core Purpose To create loyal, lifelong fans and exercise practitioners. Position Purpose Build a cohesive Personal Training team, ensuring a healthy pipeline of clients, and that members receive an exceptional fitness experience. Responsibilities Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds set goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and drive sales initiatives. Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers. Manage the payroll process for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers to ensure timely and accurate payments. Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to other department leaders and staff members. Ensure all fitness staff have appropriate certifications and training such as CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications. Provide constructive feedback to staff members on performance, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Maintain high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing membership inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and providing helpful responses. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain certifications, and implement safety protocols. Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or unexpected disruptions, providing necessary instructions and updates. Qualifications 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus. 3-4 years of customer service experience. Personal training sales experience is highly preferred. Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for interacting with employees, management, and vendors. Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions. Strong detail orientation; systematic and thorough approach to problem solving; and good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills. Embrace our Core Values. Requirements Must successfully pass a background check. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Must have valid PT certification. Ability to work in a gym setting and move around club floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public. Ability to access and operate the company computer system, including preparing documents, entering data, and reading reports. Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs.
