(SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community members seeking alternatives to prison for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential treatment services and outpatient counseling services to individuals throughout Los Angeles, as well as housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence. SCADP now offers services with a continuum of care to underserved and disadvantaged populations throughout the Los Angeles area.\nPAY RATE: $94,303.88 - $99,267.57 Per Year\nBENEFITS: SCADP offers competitive medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.\nJOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE\nUnder the clinical supervision of the Clinical Regional Director the Licensed Clinician Outpatient Compliance will assess clients, evaluate medical necessity for treatment services and provide therapeutic counseling. The Licensed Clinician Outpatient Compliance shall work in collaboration with key program staff to assist in meeting the overall needs of patients. The Clinician shall be Certified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW).\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n COMPLETE DAILY CENSUS WITH TASKS DUE FOR AOD/ CLINICAL STAFF\n MONITOR AUTHORIZATIONS, SUBMIT AUTHORIZATIONS, MONITOR FOR ISSUES/APPROVAL\n MONITORING SAGE EHR FILES FOR COMPLIANCE AND DELGATE TASKS DUE OR LATE\n COLLABORATE WITH REGISONAL CLINICAL DIRECTOR ON COMPLIANCE AND DAILY CENSUS\n PROVIDE COVERAGE AT OTHER SITES WHEN THERAPIST OR CENSUS WORK IS REQUIRED\n MONITOR ISSUES WITH SAGE EHR DOCUMENTATION AND REORT TO PROGRAM MANAGER, REGIONAL CLINICAL DIRERTOR AND BILLING DEPARTMENT\n Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for continuing stay criteria based on ASAM Criteria. \n \n Assess medical necessity for treatment and complete diagnosis based on DSM IV or DSM 5 evaluation.\n Ensure adherence to DMC-ODS Waiver, Title XXII, CARF standards, and HIPAA.\n Repeat assessment using the ASAM Criteria at 90-day intervals following the initial assessment to measure change and guide continuing care or aftercare plans.\n \n Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence-based practice protocols.\n \n Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling\n Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.\n Provide field-based services as indicated\n Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed\n Act as client advocate to agencies and persons when appropriate.\n \n Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, evasion techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors.\n Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by participation in professional development events and offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalism\n \n Participates in routine clinical supervision with Clinical Director\n Attend staff meetings, case conferences, required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.\n Assist with training and education projects for staff, residents and community\n Serve as role model through positive, appropriate conduct and participation in agency events\n \n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\n\n An essential function of this position requires incumbents to report to the office\n Quality Assurance Clinical Tasks:\n Complete daily census\n Monitor EHR\n SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT: Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for continuing stay criteria based on ASAM Criteria.\n TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING:\n \n Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence-based practice protocols.\n Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling.\n \n TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING: Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.\n TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING:\n \n Provide field-based services as indicated\n Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed\n Act as client advocate to agencies and persons when appropriate\n \n PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:\n \n Participates in routine clinical supervision with Clinical Director\n Attend staff meetings, case conferences, required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.\n Assist with training and education projects for staff, residents and community\n \n Other duties as required and may be subject to change in agency events\n\nMANDATED REPORTER\nAs service providers to the underprivileged and vulnerable in our community, all employees are considered Mandated Reporters, and must report any instance of physical or sexual abuse to proper authorities.\nQualifications\nREQUIREMENTS:\n\n Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications\n\nEDUCATION:\n\n Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) from an accredited graduate school.\n Current Certification from California BBS (MFT or CSW)\n\nEXPERIENCE:\n\n Alcohol and Drug residential treatment experience\n Experienced with moderate to severe mental health symptoms\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification by an approved accrediting organization (CCAPP, CADTP or CADEE)\n Familiarity with Electronic Clinical Management System\n Bilingual in English and Spanish\n Strong crisis management, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills\n\nSouthern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc.
