Position Responsibilities

• Perform assessments for a varied demographic that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, leveraging standardized tests alongside observational insights.
• Create customized treatment plans that meet both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing assistance.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to orchestrate cohesive treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families to support ongoing progress outside the confines of your clinical setting.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring consistency in care during each phase of treatment.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, adhering to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment.
