Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing assistance. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to orchestrate cohesive treatment plans. Educate patients and their families to support ongoing progress outside the confines of your clinical setting. Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring consistency in care during each phase of treatment. Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, adhering to state, federal, and institutional regulations. Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with peers. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and Certifications Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment. Skill Set Expertise in evidence-informed therapeutic practices for all age groups, well-versed in both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing challenges. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and a diverse healthcare team. Ability to customize therapy to respect and accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
