Scrum Master

Location Hybrid, Kansas City Office. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City office is required. Position Responsibilities As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in facilitating and coaching Agile practices and supporting daily interactions within cross-functional application development teams. Your primary focus will be on delivering value, driving continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring the successful execution of a mission-critical modernization initiative. Key responsibilities include: Drive teams’ focus on the flow of value by utilizing team metrics to measure and improve performance. Coach Agile teams on effective collaborative processes and facilitate the removal of impediments. Facilitate essential Scrum and Agile team activities, including iteration planning, refinement, retrospectives, demos, team syncs, and support in Program Increment (PI) planning. Partner with Program Managers, Product Managers, and Product Owners to identify and manage issues and dependencies across teams. Guide teams in the use of Agile tools to manage and track day-to-day work effectively. Apply Agile methodologies, values, principles, and best practices to plan, manage, and deliver technology solutions. Train, mentor, and support teams in embracing Agile values, principles, and continuous improvement techniques. Proven track record of driving continuous improvement efforts for self and teams, adopting a growth mindset. Ability to intervene skillfully, offer constructive feedback, and effectively receive feedback from others. Exceptional listening skills paired with the ability to raise awareness of improvement opportunities. Empathy and understanding to meet the team where they are in their Agile adoption journey. A demonstrated commitment to team success and a belief in the power of cohesive, high‑performing teams over individual contributors. Qualifications Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City office is a requirement for this hybrid role. Relevant Agile or Scrum certifications (such as CSM, PSM, or similar) are a plus.
