Registered Nurse - Cancer Center Clinic - PRN

Job Summary The Registered Nurse – PRN is responsible for providing age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, educating patients and their families about healthy practices and treatment modalities, assuring continuity of care, coordinating care across settings and among caregivers, managing information, communicating effectively, and utilizing technology. Registered Nurses in the Pool utilize the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation. The role also includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, leadership, and professional development. Qualifications Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 24 months clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years of clinical experience. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. PRN staff must work a minimum of 4 shifts per schedule; shifts are 12 hours (or 8–10 hours for outpatient clinics). Minimum 4 12‑hour shifts or 4 clinic shifts per 4‑week schedule. PRN staff must be flexible with floating to other areas within the department as needed. Weekend requirement: at least one weekend shift per 4‑week schedule (Friday 7p.m. – Monday 7a.m.). Holiday requirement: at least two holidays per year, one major (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s) and one minor (Memorial Day, July4, Labor Day or MartinLutherKingDay).
