This role emphasizes accuracy, pace, food safety, and organization. Prep directly impacts throughput, accuracy, and food quality by following recipes, adhering to portioning standards, and supporting BOH production needs.This role is foundational to two pillars of Winning Hearts Every Day: Craveable Food and Operational Excellence.Preparation & OrganizationPrepare produce, fruit, salads, and ingredients according to Chick-fil-A specificationsFollow all recipes, portioning standards, and labeling requirementsCommunicate product levels, shortages, or quality concerns to BOH leadershipFood Safety & CleanlinessExecute all prep tasks in alignment with Food Safety 5Follow FIFO rotation and ensure proper storage of all TCS itemsPerform and document daily temperature checksMaintain a clean, sanitized prep area throughout the shiftFollow dishwashing, sanitation, and cleaning proceduresOperational SupportSet up BOH stations with accurate, fresh product before peak periodsAssist BOH team members during high-volume times when neededCommunicate needs clearly with Shift Leaders and ADsImmediately notify leadership of any equipment, product, or quality issuesSupport transitions between breakfast, lunch, and evening periods through accurate prepTeam & CultureWork collaboratively with BOH and FOH team membersSupport a positive, encouraging kitchen environmentTake ownership of tasks and follow directions from Shift LeadersShow initiative by staying ahead of needs and anticipating bottlenecksRequirementsAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbsAble to stand for extended periodsAvailable to work at least 4-5 shifts per weekSaturday availability requiredStrong attention to detail and time managementWillingness to learn and follow Chick-fil-A systems and standardsDemonstrates reliability and professional communicationMeasurement of SuccessPrep completed accurately and on time for each daypartFood Safety 5 followed with 95%+ complianceAppropriate product levels are maintained with minimal wasteCleanliness standards consistently upheld (BOH Elite)Strong teamwork and positive culture feedbackSmooth daypart transitions and reduced bottlenecks during peak periodsWinning Hearts Every DayPrep Team Members play a vital role in how we Win Moments and Win Hearts.You will:Win Moments by providing fresh, accurate ingredients that support smooth BOH executionWin Hearts by ensuring food safety, quality, and consistencyProtect the guest experience through excellence in prep and organizationSupport our vision: To be the most caring restaurant in the East Valley by showing care in meaningful waysPosition type: Shifts Available from Monday to SaturdayPart-Time Employees must have Friday and Saturday availabilityFull-Time Employee must have Open Availability for Day Shift or Evening ShiftWork schedule8 hour shiftWeekend availabilityMonday to FridayBenefitsFlexible schedulePaid time offHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)401(k) matching
