Job Summary:
Med-Surgical Telemetry Nurse specialized in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Vermont. This assignment spans approximately 13-16 weeks and requires bedside procedures such as NG tube and peripheral IV insertions, along with telemetry strip interpretation. The position involves working nights with a schedule that includes a minimum of 36 hours per week and every other weekend.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Monday to Sunday with no block schedules; bi-weekly orientations on Monday
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
  • Experience: At least 5 years of medical surgical telemetry experience or 3 years of telemetry experience; prior travel experience required
  • Additional Requirements: Completed two travel assignments in facilities with 300+ beds or previous experience at any UVM Health Network acute care facility; EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years; must have reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle) during employment
  • Location & Experience: Must have full work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) in submitted application; all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
