Weekend CNC Specialist

Position OverviewCARR Machine & Tool Inc. is seeking an experienced Weekend CNC Specialist to keep our production floor running smoothly on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a part-time, independent role for a seasoned operator who can be trusted to run the shop on their own — loading and unloading parts, inspecting work, and making documented adjustments to keep machines producing throughout the weekend. The goal of this role is continuity: ensuring the shop is in a strong position to start Monday morning rather than recovering from a lost weekend.Schedule & Compensation**Days: **Saturday and Sunday**Hours: **4 to 8 hours per shift (flexible)**Pay Range: **$45.00 – $50.00 per hour, based on experience**Employment Type: **Part-time**Supervision: **Independent – no on-site supervisor during weekend shiftsKey ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload parts on production CNC millsOperate and monitor CNC mills to maintain steady throughput throughout the shiftInspect parts as they come off the machines to confirm dimensions are within tolerance and the machines are producing passing partsMaintain coolant levels in each machine and top off as neededEmpty chip drums and keep work areas clean and organizedMake limited machine adjustments based on documented proceduresIdentify when an issue is outside the scope of documented adjustments and stop production safelyDocument any issues, adjustments, or production status so the weekday team can pick up seamlessly on MondayRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC millsDemonstrated ability to work confidently with minimal or no supervisionComfortable making small machine adjustments within documented parameters to keep production movingStrong inspection skills – able to read prints and verify part dimensionsAble to work effectively alone or alongside one other operatorReliable, self-motivated, and committed to keeping the shop running smoothly through the weekendMust qualify as a “U.S. Person” under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62).
