At Thompson & Johnson Equipment, our drivers play a critical role in delivering equipment safely and professionally to our customers.

We’re looking for a CDL A Truck Driver to join our Syracuse team and support deliveries across the region. This is a local driving position, giving you consistent hours and the ability to be home every night.

What You’ll Do

• Load, secure, and transport equipment to and from customer job sites
• Operate trucks and trailers safely while complying with all DOT regulations
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections (fuel, brakes, lights, tires, etc.)
• Deliver equipment to customers and assist with unloading and placement
• Provide basic instruction on safe equipment operation when needed
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
• Complete delivery paperwork, logs, and inspection reports
• Maintain a clean and well-functioning truck and equipment

What You Bring

• Valid CDL A license with HAZMAT endorsement
• Clean driving record acceptable to company and insurance carrier
• Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to complete required paperwork and logs accurately
• High school diploma or equivalent

Prerequisites
