Systems Engineer

Salary: $126,000 - 166,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring at least 2 years of systems engineering experience.
• We have experience with infrastructure and systems lifecycle methodologies, including scripting relevant to our area of expertise.
• We hold a bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, in MIS, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• We are familiar with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• We understand software engineering practices, including CI/CD and automation.
• We apply strong security principles in system operations.
• We demonstrate solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• We communicate effectively and work well in a team setting.
• We hold a Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential.
• We have experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and system integrations.
• We have experience translating major software publisher licensing rules, such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and AWS, into technical platform logic.
• A Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) certification is preferred.

• We apply software engineering best practices to improve performance and security.
• We partner with cross-functional teams to support innovation and continuous improvement.
• We develop, implement, and support systems and services that keep operations reliable.
• We carry out project work for systems and applications, with a focus on efficiency and functionality.
• We lead upgrades, migrations, optimizations, and new implementations, and resolve performance issues.
• We write scripts, templates, interfaces, and utility applications to enhance functionality and automate processes.
• We develop, test, troubleshoot, and document new and improved systems and workflows.
• We provide level three support in our areas of expertise.
• We may take on additional assignments as needed.
• We design, configure, and script custom workflows, enhancements, and data models within ServiceNow SAM Pro/Enterprise.
• We build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and discovery patterns to track the full software asset lifecycle in real time.
• We engineer automated reconciliation frameworks and entitlement models to manage complex licensing structures and support audits and cost optimization.
• We establish ITAM data governance and create compliance dashboards, custom reports, and KPIs using ServiceNow reporting and Performance Analytics.
