Estimator / Preconstruction Specialist

Build Winning Projects Before Construction Begins

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator who enjoys solving complex problems, building accurate bids, and helping win quality construction projects. If you're analytical, organized, and take pride in producing accurate work that directly impacts company success, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Do

• Identify and evaluate upcoming bid opportunities
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Develop complete and competitive project bids
• Analyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal trade experts
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits when required
• Prepare pricing for change orders during construction
• Support project turnover and preconstruction planning
• Participate in post-project reviews to continuously improve estimating accuracy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, construction managers, and owners

What We're Looking For

• Experience estimating commercial or industrial construction projects
• Strong ability to read blueprints and construction specifications
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Self-motivated with a commitment to producing accurate, profitable work

Experience Preferred

• Commercial or industrial construction estimating
• Mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, piping, or related construction experience is a plus
• Knowledge of construction contracts and project delivery methods
• Experience with digital takeoff and estimating software preferred
