Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule

12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights, with every other weekend required. Every 4-week period includes one week of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts. Rotations may occur within the same week, with attempts to provide a few days between shifts.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required
• 3+ years of related work experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Basic familiarity with computers; Epic experience required
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertise preferred
• Level I trauma experience required

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitoring patient progress and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care
• Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Educating patients and their families about health management and medication use
• Participating in professional development activities and maintaining current knowledge of nursing practices

Compliance / Notes

Orientation is conducted weekly. Any requests for time off must be presented at the time of submission. Additional information regarding parking will be provided; it may incur costs.
