Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:7
• Manage and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as required
• Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP; unit does not utilize ventilators
• Utilize telemetry monitoring in coordination with remote monitor technicians
• Float to other units as needed based on census, with travelers floated first

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Comfort working with nurse-to-patient ratios of up to 1:7
• Availability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with heparin drip titration protocols
• Experience working alongside Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in a team-based care environment
