Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an Alerton Building Automation Technician for Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire to commission, service, and troubleshoot Alerton and BACtalk systems across an installed base of commercial and institutional buildings.

Impact

• Keep the Alerton base running so operators are not calling twice for the same fault.
• Turn intermittent BACnet and MS/TP faults into permanent fixes.
• Bring sequences back to design intent, where the energy savings live.
• Spot upgrade and retrofit work during service calls.

Responsibilities

• Commission, service, and troubleshoot Alerton controllers and BACtalk and Ascent front ends.
• Diagnose BACnet MS/TP and IP faults down to the device and the wire.
• Load, edit, and back up controller programs and graphics.
• Perform point-to-point verification and functional testing after repairs.
• Read and correct sequences of operation against mechanical drawings.
• Document every visit so the next technician is not starting from zero.
• Work directly with building engineers and operators, and flag end-of-life equipment.

Must-Haves

• Hands-on service and commissioning experience on Alerton systems.
• BACnet MS/TP and IP troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read sequences of operation and mechanical drawings.

Nice-to-Haves

• Alerton certifications.
• Experience on other platforms such as Niagara or ALC.

Compensation and Logistics
