Legal Billing Specialist

Job Overview A full-service, regional law firm is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join their team. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year Benefits Competitive salary Excellent benefits package Collaborative, friendly environment Flexible work schedule Generous PTO Responsibilities Handling all aspects of billing for a portfolio of clients, including preparing, finalizing, and sending out invoices. Coordinating with attorneys and other staff to ensure accurate and timely entry of billable time. Resolving any billing inquiries or discrepancies promptly and professionally. Assisting with collections efforts, including following up on past‑due accounts. Providing regular reports to management on billing and collections status. Implementing and maintaining billing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborating with other team members on special projects as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal billing or a related role. Proficiency with billing software and other relevant technology. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to resolve billing issues effectively and efficiently. Understanding of legal terminology and procedures. High degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic.
