Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal recovery. Collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient-centered services.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and comfort as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid NY nursing license required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg setting.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in EPIC electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to float within Med/Surg units as needed.
