Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Mechanical Contractor Location: 2021 Lynnhaven Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-1410 Overview: We are seeking an experienced Licensed Manager in Facilities Maintenance Operations to oversee the predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring buildings operate efficiently, sustainably, and safely for associates and customers. Responsibilities: Require approximately 50% or more travel within the region. Work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on facility services needs. Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed. Provide reporting and analytics. Maintain up-to-date contractor licenses and comply with relevant authorities. Participate in training programs to stay familiar with regulatory requirements, conduct site inspections, and monitor compliance and quality. Obtain and secure all necessary permits and schedule inspections as required by mechanical or building codes. Lead, motivate, and develop team members. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Solve problems, conduct root cause and breakdown analysis. Provide excellent customer service. Hard Skill Sets Needed (minimum): 3-5 years of general facilities services/overall building maintenance experience. Electrical, plumbing, or mechanical experience. Leadership skills. Communication/interpersonal skills. Problem solving: root cause and breakdown analysis. Soft Skill Sets Needed (minimum): EPA Universal Certification. PMP Certification. Lean Six Sigma. Maintain a Mechanical Contractor license in the state of employment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field AND 3 years experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area, OR 5 years experience in those areas. EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire. Mechanical Contractor License or equivalent in the state of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building controls or related area. Experience leading cross-functional teams. External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment. State and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work; may require reciprocal license. State mechanical contractor’s license. Supervisory experience. Type I and Type II EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range: $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include stock.
