Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly motivated Counsel candidate to join its Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group in Denver, CO. The role involves working on the Financial Services Team, focusing on commercial lending local counsel opinions. Duties Lead the coordination, preparation, review, and management of local counsel opinions. Analyze opinion requests and identify jurisdiction‑specific issues. Serve as the primary contact for referring counsel and negotiate opinion language. Partner with deal teams to ensure timely and accurate opinion delivery. Maintain strong knowledge of opinion practice and enforceability concepts. Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing and best practices. Requirements 3–6 years of experience in equipment finance, asset‑based lending, or commercial finance. Experience with commercial lending local counsel opinions; real estate opinion experience preferred. Excellent judgment and meticulous legal analysis skills. Ability to manage complex workflows and support multiple transactions. Strong communication skills across offices and jurisdictions. Admitted to practice, or eligible for admission, in the jurisdiction of the office location. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
