Job Description The Business Banking Credit Portfolio Officer role is responsible for supporting credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients. Key responsibilities include completing credit analysis, evaluating risks, and writing financial analysis using various tools and systems. Job expectations include analyzing financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, collateral, and policy requirements to ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite. This role reports to the Commercial Credit Manager that supports the market. Responsibilities Analysis of client financial information, identification/mitigation of potential risks, compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluation of collateral in determination of credit worthiness Complete monitoring activities via analysis of clients’ financial performance and collateral evaluation to ensure appropriate requirements are met Listen in to client meetings to develop a deeper understanding of the client's business, management team, and past and future performance Review completed client requests to ensure compliance with policy and procedures Understand how credit data is used internally and provided to regulatory partners Assist with periodic portfolio reviewsSupports the credit monitoring process for existing clients. Prepares credit analysis to facilitate the decisioning of a client's credit worthiness.
