Description:

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Floor Tech is responsible is for the daily maintenance of all flooring in the Facility

Responsibilities:

1. Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with the Resident Care Policies and Procedures.

2. Acts appropriately under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

3. Adjusts to changes in the shift assignments to meet Facility needs.

4. Maintains clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.

5. Operates steam-cleaning or shampoo equipment on carpeting.

6. Strips, seals, finishes and polishes floor.

7. Keeps work area hazard-free and clean

8. Uses care in mixing water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.

9. Follows a regular maintenance schedule and performs unscheduled clean up whenever needed.

Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances. Performs other work duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
Skilled Nursing Facility Experience (Preferred)
