The Specimen Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.Are you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? If you share our passion for strengthening physician care, please apply for the Specimen Processor I position!Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00pm – 1:30am with rotating SaturdaysJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesMeet department activity and production goalsProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerResolve and document any problem specimensMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:1 or more years experience (lab/accessioning, production/manufacturing/warehouse environment)Additional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS OfficeAbility to lift up to 40lbs.Ability to pass a standardized color blind testBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
